Anonymous Submissions & Immediate Unlisting Rule
Because The Penta-Ledger allows anonymous and pseudonymous manuscript submissions to protect early-stage and independent scientific inquiry, the platform cannot verify the identity or intent of third-party uploaders in advance.
Operational Takedown Rule:
Upon receiving a valid DMCA / copyright infringement notice meeting statutory requirements, any contested manuscript lacking verified cryptographic authorship credentials will be immediately unlisted and blocked from public download pending further review.
How to Submit a Valid Infringement Notice
To file a formal notice of copyright infringement with our designated agent, please provide an email with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request - [Manuscript SHA-256]" to:
Required Notice Elements:
- Identification of the Copyrighted Work: A clear description of the copyrighted book, journal article, draft, or code claimed to have been infringed, including original publication citation or URL.
- Target Manuscript Information: The exact SHA-256 fingerprint hash and URL of the contested manuscript on The Penta-Ledger (e.g.
https://penta-ledger.org/verify/<sha256_hash>). - Contact Information: Your full legal name, organizational affiliation (if applicable), physical address, phone number, and email address.
- Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Perjury Statement: A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Signature: A physical or verified electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative.
Immutable Ledger vs. Binary Hosting
In accordance with the cryptographic nature of The Penta-Ledger:
- Binary Storage Removal: When an unlisting order is processed, the underlying PDF file is permanently purged from R2 storage, preventing further public downloads or indexing.
- Cryptographic Timestamp: The SHA-256 hash log on the mathematical D1 ledger represents a permanent historical record of a file fingerprint at a moment in time and contains no copyrighted binary content.
